If You Could Live Anywhere in the World, Where Would it Be?

The easy answer would be a simple by the sea. But it’s more complicated than just those three words.

I have children, grandchildren and two of the most precious great granddaughters anyone could ask for. And they are spread from North Carolina to Texas. I have a granddaughter in Michigan I haven’t seen since 2018, and my eldest daughter and grandchild live in Indiana.

So, which sea do I choose? Where can I live to fulfill my desire to live by the sea while still making it easy to be close enough to see my family?

The Gulf of Mexico comes to mind. My son and his family live in Texas, my middle child and youngest grandchild live in North Carolina. This would be the easiest choice for them, but what about those who live farther north?

Would they actually take the time to come visit me by the sea? I’m guessing probably for the ones who live in North Carolina and Texas, but not so much for the others. I know my son loves to fish and has had pretty good luck catching some big ones just fishing from the beach out beyond the sand bars.

My daughter and youngest grand love the beach and make a point of kicking off every summer by spending at least a week in Myrtle Beach celebrating Summer and Ravyn’s birthday. So, yeah, at least 2 of my kids and 5 of the grands and the 2 great grands would come to visit by the sea if I chose the Gulf of Mexico.

So, maybe I’ll start looking at where would be the closest to the half way mark between North Carolina and Texas and see where I could find a place by the sea if this one dream could be fulfilled.
